[D7]-Benzylpenicillin potassium salt
Benzylpenicillin, also known as Penicillin G, is an antibiotic used to treat numerous bacterial infections, including pneumonia, strep throat, syphilis, necrotizing enterocolitis, diphtheria, gas gangrene, leptospirosis, cellulitis, and tetanus. Benzylpenicillin is mostly injected into a vein or muscle as an alkaline, benzathine, or procaine salt.
Stable isotope labeled [D7]-Benzylpenicillin is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of Benzylpenicillin by LC or GC-mass spectrometry.
